1. Booking Confirmation and Terms of Use

1.1 Booking Confirmation
Bookings will only be confirmed once all participants have read, understood, and accepted these Terms of Use and Waiver, and full payment has been received.

1.2 Acceptance of Terms
By using The Sauna Float’s facilities, participants automatically accept and agree to these Terms of Use and Waiver.

2. Health and Safety

2.1 Medical Consultation
Participants are strongly advised to consult a medical professional prior to using the sauna, shower, or ice bath—especially if they have any pre-existing health conditions. If unsure, do not use the facilities.

2.2 Medical Conditions – Do Not Use If You:

• Have high or low blood pressure.

• Have cardiovascular or circulatory conditions.

• Are pregnant.

• Have epilepsy or diabetes.

• Are prone to fainting or dizziness.

• Have any other medical condition that may be adversely affected by exposure to heat or cold, or which may pose a risk to yourself or others.

2.3 Slips, Trips and Falls
Water from showers and ice barrels may make walking surfaces slippery. Please exercise caution when entering or exiting any facility.

2.4 Burns
Do not touch the log burner in the sauna—it is extremely hot and will cause serious burns. Allow adequate space between yourself and the burner.

2.5 Alcohol and Drug Use
Use of recreational drugs or alcohol before or during sessions is strictly prohibited. Smoking is not permitted in or around the facilities.

2.6 Time Limits

• Sauna sessions must not exceed 15 minutes.

• Ice barrel or cold shower sessions must not exceed 3 minutes.
  Extended exposure can result in dehydration, hypothermia, hyperthermia, or other health risks.

2.7 Essential Oils
Essential oils may be used during sauna sessions. Please notify The Sauna Float in advance if you have any allergies or sensitivities.

2.8 Age Restrictions

• Persons under 18 must be supervised by a responsible adult.

• Children under 16 may only participate with prior written consent.

2.9 Emergency Protocols
Participants agree to follow all instructions in the event of an emergency and must evacuate to the nearest assembly area if required. Fire exits must remain clear at all times.

2.10 Right of Refusal
The Sauna Float reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who presents a health or safety risk. Refunds will not be provided in such cases.

3. Group Bookings

If booking on behalf of a group, it is the booker’s responsibility to ensure all participants understand and accept these terms and the associated risks.

4. Session Timing

Participants are responsible for arriving on time. No extensions or refunds will be provided for late arrivals.

5. Conduct and Behaviour

5.1 Participant Conduct
Aggressive, antisocial, or inappropriate behaviour is strictly prohibited. Offenders will be asked to leave and will not be refunded.

5.2 Respect for the Community
The Sauna Float operates in a public setting (Woodbury Domain). Please respect local residents, campers, and the grounds.

5.3 Illegal Activities
No illegal activities are permitted on site. Please report any suspicious or illegal behaviour to a staff member immediately.

6. Cancellations

6.1 Right to Cancel
The Sauna Float reserves the right to cancel a booking if:

• The participant breaches these terms.

• The event may contravene any laws, bylaws, or public safety regulations.

• Behaviour or organisation is deemed unsafe.

• Unforeseen circumstances (e.g., natural disaster, extreme weather) arise.

7. Liability and Indemnity

7.1 Indemnity
Participants agree to indemnify The Sauna Float, its owners, staff, and representatives from any claims, costs, or liabilities arising from their use of the facilities or a breach of these terms.

7.2 Loss of Personal Property
The Sauna Float is not Liable for any personal property lost, stolen, or damaged during your visit.

7.3 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Sauna Float accepts no liability for any injury, death, or loss resulting from the use of its facilities.

7.4 Accidents and Injuries – ACC Compliance

Participants acknowledge that any personal injury sustained during use of the facilities may be covered by the Accident Compensation Act 2001 (NZ). All accidents or near misses must be reported immediately to a staff member.

Liability Waiver

By agreeing to this waiver, you confirm that:

• You acknowledge the risks involved with sauna and cold exposure including but not limited to, burns, slips, trips, dehydration, dizziness, blood pressure changes, hypothermia, hyperthermia.

• You are not aware of any medical or psychological condition (including pregnancy, heart conditions, diabetes, vertigo, etc.) that would pose a risk to yourself or others during use of the facilities.

• If you are on medication or have a health condition that affects your response to temperature, you will consult a medical professional and disclose this to The Sauna Float before participating.

• You are in good health, capable of participating, and responsible for your own hydration.

• You understand that drug and alcohol use is strictly prohibited.

• The Sauna Float reserves the right to refuse or remove participants who fail to comply with these terms.

By using The Sauna Float’s facilities, you confirm your agreement to all of the above Terms of use and Waiver.
